As humorist Dave Barry once remarked, “If you had to identify, in one word, the reason why the human race has not achieved, and never will achieve, its full potential, that word would be ‘meetings.'” Meetings are a staple of business life. They range from productive to a complete waste of time, from highly structured to free range, and from fun to downright painful. And with an every growing global workforce, more of these meetings are virtual, allowing participants from every part of the world to participate. In fact, according to Successful Meetings’ 2016 Trend Survey, 33 percent of respondents said that they anticipate an increase in virtual meetings over previous years.
